"But a goal for everyone in this room to remember in 2012 is that, yes, some of us are gay, some us of are lesbian, some of us are bisexual, some of us are transgender, some of us are intersexual, some of us are asexual, some of us are assholes. But, I want to make sure that everyone makes a conscious effort to make that at least [number] ten on the list. I want to make sure everyone in this room is determined, er-, realized as someone who is artistic, friendly, neurotic, bearded, over-painted and THEN gay, lesbian, transsexual, bigender, intersexual, asexual, and asshole. We should no longer live our lives being determined by the sex we have in our bedrooms that nobody else sees. When people describe Sharon Needles, I want people to say “spooky, beautiful, stupid, irreverent, offensive, transgressive and annoying. And THEN I want people to say that I’m gay - end of the list."
